Boris Mann is an important and helpful dude for the Drupal Foundation. He's one of the ringmasters at the conferences I've been to.
He's just written a pleasant article looking at RDF in a positive light.
"I think I'm almost convinced that the scales are tipping in favor of RDF for enabling new, distributed actions. Looking at new companies like Nova Spivack's Twine or MetaWeb's Freebase, we are seeing new capabilities emerge based on using RDF."
The timing is right, and I'm glad the Drupal foundation is catching on. We need some central coordination from higher ups, since there are many new projects around RDF. Without a leader, it's going to be a mashup in the worst meaning of the word.
